Remuneration

Assign values to training course to pay and reward employees

Updated over a week ago

Remuneration allows courses to be assigned values that can be viewed and exported to payroll or reward systems in order to remunerate or reward employees for completing training.

Managers can export a report at any time from ANANAS to courses that are assigned values, see who has completed the material and what remuneration needs to be paid.

How to Activate Remuneration for a Course

Remuneration options are found by navigating to Content Manager > Internal Training and then the specific course you wish to Edit

Check the Remuneration box, add the values required, and then hit save. You will be asked if you wish to apply the values retrospectively or only for future completions.

  • Apply to ALL is selected if you wish to remunerate all future employees AND anyone who has already completed the course. This is useful if you are implementing remuneration on existing courses and are required to pay those who have completed it already.

  • Apply to Future Only is selected if you wish for remuneration values only to be collected by employees completing a course AFTER today.

Remuneration Types

$Dollars

Add a value here if you wish to assign a fixed value for completion of a course.

Time(hrs)

Add a nominal time in hours. This can be used if you wish to export to payroll and pay employees their hourly rate for training. Decimal hours are used - So for 90 minutes, enter 1.5.

Points

You can assign points to a course if you operate a loyalty or reward system.

  • We recommend that Australian employers understand the requirements and regulations around unpaid work. You may want to consider using rewards and fixed dollar amounts as incentives for Non-Compulsory learning. We recommend using Time and a nominal value to pay employees at their award rate assigned in your payroll system.

How do I pay / reward employees for training completed?

When an employee passes a course with any remuneration value assigned, this is then stored and can be accessed via Exportable Reports > Remuneration Report.

Find out how to export your remuneration (and other) reports here.

The data contained in the report can then be imported or inputted into your payroll or loyalty system.

Be sure to track when this is done, as values will remain in ANANAS and you do not want to double enter in to your external system.
